2nd First Day of School....

Well, Today was Tatum's 2nd, 1st day of school this year. She started this morning at 9am! She was not quite ready to go this morning. I think with 2 months out of school, it was hard for her to get back in the groove. Once we got into the classroom, off she went, barely pausing to give us a kiss goodbye! I can't wait to hear about her day! I know that she loves school, and will have tons of fun!!!

Is This a Trend...

Yesterday we went to Mason's birthday party at Planet Pizza. Tatum had so much fun! When my dad sent me pictures from off his camera, it reminded me of Tatum's 3rd Birthday party. The first picture is from her 3rd birthday, the second is from Mason's party yesterday! Is this a trend? My child eats her cupcakes the same way, 2 years counting!!! Frosting first....and only!!

In trouble...

So, after Tatum decided to pour her entire cup of milk in to her dinner bowl, and having it taken away, before she even ate it...this is how I found her less than 5 minutes later! Today, like all this week, has been a hard one! Tatum has been pressing my buttons the whole week. We toured a new pre-school today, she starts Monday! I think she needs that structure, and extra mind play during the day. She starts Kindergarten next year and I don't want her to fall behind just because she was dismissed from her Speech School. I think she will really enjoy it, and I know that I will too! The last 2 months with her being home, is beginning to wear on me! I LOVE her so much, but I am beginning to think that she is a teenager, stuck in a 4 1\2 year old body!!!

No birds here...

Today, I noticed that there were an awful lot of birds feeding on my neighbors hanging bird feeder. Well, it looks like the neighborhood cat noticed as well! I found him sitting quietly in the tree, waiting for the birds to return. Pretty smart cat, but he forgot his camouflage jacket!!

Happy Easter!!!

What a weekend! We decided to have a Yard Sale at my mom's house Friday and Saturday. What was I thinking? I HATE having Garage sales, but like the money I make out of them... most of the time! This was one of those times. I really didn't feel like I had a lot to sell, but once we filled Richards truck up twice to take to my moms, I thought it might be alright! We were not sure how a Yard Sale would be on Good Friday and the Saturday before Easter, also the last weekend of Spring Break....we should not have even worried!! We had so much traffic, so many people, and we ALL made really good money! It was a lot of work, but well worth the $750 I made from it! I was VERY proud of myself for getting rid of A LOT of Tatum's old clothes. They were hard to part with, but I did it, and I am glad I did!! I made most of my money off her clothes. Since I was stuck doing that, Richard was able to take Tatum to an Easter Egg Hunt with some friends on Saturday. Tatum had a blast! She got her face painted, got tons of candy, and got to play at the park with Sydney and Alexis. This morning we got up and went to the early service at Church. We had brunch there, and Tatum got to hunt for more eggs! She got even more candy! I sure am glad she left the first batch at Nana and Papaw's house yesterday!! After Church, we met up with the rest of the family and went bowling. That was fun! Then we went over to visit with Richard's family, at his Aunt's house. It was nice to see everyone over there! We haven't seen them in about a year! We are always so busy, and with Richard's work schedule being funny, Holiday's are usually rushed and we can't get down there! We will try and change that, and get down there to visit more often! So, the weekend was busy! Lots of late nights, and hard work, but ended with a Nice, but cold, Easter Sunday!!

Seems as if Spring Has Sprung...

It has done nothing but rain, rain, and rain today! What a nasty day. I have been going through a bunch of Tatum's clothes that she has outgrown, to get ready for a Garage Sale we are having this weekend. I had sprawled everything out on the living room floor, and happened to look outside and saw this Beautiful Cardinal sitting in the tree! I went to get my camera, and he was gone. I waited a bit, and back he flew! He was so bright! What a great sight to see, on such a gloomy day!!

Our Family....

Well, I have not posted anything in several days, and that is NOT like me! I have been scorned! So, I thought that I would put up some of the pictures that my sister took last year of "my little family!" I use one of these pictures of Tatum on my Hand Towel Stand from Southern Living, that I have made a picture frame instead of using it for hand towels. I needed to print off a new picture last week, and found the CD that had all these pictures on it. I realized that I didn't have them on my computer! So, now they are, and now they are on here! I love all these pictures! Tatum looked so cute that day! But, enough about that....what has been going on around here??? A lot, hence the reason I have not been able to post anything! Last month we had a major hail storm. This was before all the snow! Well, enough hail to ruin my roof and cause us to have to have a new one put on! Leaking in Tatum's ceiling, hail damage on the cars...what else could be more annoying, than having to deal with insurance people and roofers??? So, this has taken up a lot of my time th epast several days. Richard started his new job on Patrol for the Sheriff's office, Monday. Today is his 3rd day on the street with a training officer, and already he has seen and done some pretty hands-on stuff! He LOVES it, and is really excited to finally get to be doing what he has always wanted! On another note, the weather has been so beautiful!! After our 2 days of snowy, cold weather, we have had beautiful close to 80 degree temperatures! Tomorrow is supposed to get to 90!! TEXAS!?!? Gotta love it!

And more....

Well, the snow from Tuesday all melted by the end of the day, we had one day to recover, and now MORE!!! This video was taken about 1 1\2 hours ago, and it is still falling! The biggest snowflakes I have ever seen! The weatherman said 2-4 inches in McKinney, but I bet that has already fallen! Are we sure we are in TEXAS??? It's March, this type of thing usually occurs in February! It is beautiful though, I can't complain! We will see what type of snowman we can create here in a little bit!!!

More snow.....

Here are some daylight pictures of the snow from last night! WOW! We got a ton!! We definitely got more than most towns around here. I was hearing that it was all melted in most places by 10am. Richard and Tatum build this snowman at 11:30, and we still had plenty. The roads were pretty bad up here too! I didn't think that snow was going to make them that bad. It is usually ICE that causes the trouble. No schools were cancelled, but evidently the roads were bad enough for McKinney alone to report 40 accidents this morning before 9am!! I am glad I wasn't out on the roads that early! Tatum loved all the snow, and kept asking to build another snowman at Papaw's house today! It was hard to explain to her that the snow melted and there would not be anymore snow left on the ground when we got there! She spent the night with Nana and Papaw tonight. I have feeling that she will be pretty sad tomorrow morning, when she shows up here with only half a snowman left outside!!!

Snow....

Well, it is snowing in TEXAS! Funny thing is, it was over 80 degrees 2 days ago, and yesterday it was in the 70's! Gotta love Texas weather! It was funny, tonight Richard and I were talking as we listened to the sleet hit the window. We said "wouldn't it be funny if we woke up in the morning to a foot of snow?" He came in here and got me a few minutes ago and lead me to the front door! This is what I saw! I can't wait till morning, so Tatum can make a snow ball! She asks me all the time when it is going to snow like Sante Fe. She enjoyed playing in the snow when we were there over New Years. I will have to take more pictures in the morning when you can really tell how much snow is on the ground!

I can hear the neighbor kids outside playing in it already! It is 10:00pm! Oh well, I guess I don't blame them, you never know, it might be 80 degrees again when we wake up in the morning!!!
