31 Flavors at 31cents....

Tonight Baskin Robbins was having a Special Night to Honor Firefighters. 31 Cents per scoop. Richard took Tatum up there since the firetrucks and ambulance were there. She loves getting to see them up close. The firefighters got a call and had to leave, so she was able to see them load up and head out with lights and sirens. After they left, Richard and Tatum went and got in line to get ice cream. I was surprised to see that she got BLUE instead of WHITE!!

Fun at the Park...

Today we took Tatum to a park to play some Tball. She also played on the playground, learned to swing across the monkey bars by herself...well she got 3 rings alone..rode her Jeep, and Daddy got to fish! It was really windy, but nice and warm! We ended with an Ice Cream cone from McDonald's. Tatum laughed at her Ice Cream moustache!!

Wacky Wednesday...

Today was Wacky Wednesday at Tatum's school. I had to dress her WACKY! I thought this was going to be easy, but all the outfits I was thinking about, I just wasn't that in to! So, even though her outfit pretty much matches....her hair and shoes were WACKY! I put her hair in 4 tiny pig tails (she was so excited about that) and she wore 1 pink Croc and 1 blue Croc. That was about as WACKY as we could get this morning!!

A Day at the "Beach"...

Today we went to play with Sydney and Alexis at their house. After a while of the girls playing out on the patio, and inside a bit, Sydney asked me if we could go to the Beach. "We really have one here, you know!!" What?!? So, off we went with sand buckets, shovels, and the girls to the BEACH! We walked through some apartment buildings, and on the other side is this beautiful pond, ducks, and SAND. Like the beach. There was lounge chairs and tons of sand for the girls to play in. Richard made sand castles, dug holes and put the girls in them..(as you can see in the picture) and he even made a little girl out of sand that the girls named "Sassy". It was lots of fun! The girls were sad to leave. We will have to go back soon before the HOT weather hits, and sand is sticking to us, instead of the castles!!

X is for X-ray....

Tomorrow is Show and Tell at Tatum's school. They are learning about the letter X. She had a dentist appointment today for a cleaning. When they heard me ask Tatum what letter X-Ray started with (I know, I basically told her the answer by asking the question!) they asked me if we would like a print out of the x-ray to take to Show and Tell. Of course we do!!! Then, Amber, my friend who happens to be the Dental Assistant there, decided that Tatum needed the "cooler" x-ray picture to take to school, so she put her on this X-ray contraption to get an x-ray of her whole mouth! Tatum thought it was pretty cool! So, we will be heading off to school tomorrow with a mouth X-ray and X-ray's from a trip to the hospital, about 2 years ago, of Tatum's chest! I think the kids at school will enjoy seeing Tatum's insides!!

Spring Soccer 2008...

Here a some pictures from this Spring Season of Lil Kickers soccer!! The girls all had a blast! No goals for Tatum this season! We MUST work harder for next season!! T-Ball starts this week! I know she will shine on the baseball field!!!

She is getting big....

Tatum called me outside today to show me what she can do now! Just last week I was having to pick her up and put her on the seat. Today, she figured out all by herself how she can jump up on it and swing out! She is getting so big!!!

p.s. nice hat, Tatum! Isn't it a little hot for that?

Aren't they the cutest things EVER......

Nicole has been in town the past 2 weeks, and we have had so much fun visiting!! Gavin and Tatum are having so much fun playing together!! We wish they were here in Texas permanently!! I just LOVE this picture! It makes me think about how life would be with a second child!!! As long as the next one is as cute as these two....it couldn't be too bad!!!

She Cracks Me Up...

So tonight, while watching some TV, Tatum saw a commercial with a kid skateboarding. Here is how the conversation went after seeing it...

Tatum: "Mommy, I want a skateboard for my birthday!"
Mommy: "Tatum, skateboards are dangerous!"
Tatum: "No Mommy, I'm a big girl now, and skateboards are for kids!!"
Mommy: (laughing)

What do you say to something so cute like that? I might be looking for a small "girly" skateboard come July!!

Spring Training...

Today was Spring Training at Tatum's school. The kids were to bring their baseball gear so they could play baseball during movement class. I found this shirt in Tatum's drawer. It was perfect, and I honestly forgot I even had it! She looked so cute!! She took her baseball glove to school, and she told us that she also hit the ball twice! I wonder if there was a Tee set up? Tball starts in the next couple of weeks! Tatum always says she likes to play Tball like Daddy! (Richard can hit the ball without the tee, I promise!!) This season she will have a catcher behind the plate, and an umpire! We are in the Big Leagues now!!!

Drive-In Movies....

Saturday night we went to the drive-in movies in Ennis. It was soooo much fun! We arrived at 6pm, got in line, and waited until the gate opened at 6:30. Once inside the gate, we found our parking spots, and pulled out all our chairs, blankets, toys, etc. It was really fun because the kids were able to run around and play for a while before the movie started at about 8:30pm. They have a concession stand there, where we got dinner, and popcorn, candy...and more! Tatum literally ATE the entire time once the movies started. Yes, Movies...you pay $6 per adult, and under 5 is FREE, then you get to watch 2 movies back to back! What a deal! You just have to pay for gas to get to Ennis, 20 miles east of Dallas. Not too far! We saw Nim's Island and Horton Hears a Who. And Tatum ate through both movies! She ate she corn dog once we got settled in, played until the movie started, got all cuddled up, then ate Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Dots, and Marshmallows. She would have had more if I would have let her! It was cold once the sun went down, but it was nice under blankets. Tatum's body, hands and feet were completely warm once we got back in the truck to leave! I was a little chilly, but was not really dressed for the cool night. Needless to say, we will be back again once it warms up a bit! I felt like we should have been wearing Poodle Skirts and leather jackets because of the atmosphere. It was totally set back in the day, but was so much fun! I want to open a Drive-In theater here in McKinney or somewhere close. It was packed full of people and cars, and everyone had a really good time!! As you tell by Tatum's face in the picture above, she had a blast eating and watching the movie!
This was taken before it got dark. Charla brought a bunch of outdoor toys for the kids to play with. Tatum liked this ball and cone game.
