I can't believe it.....

After 6 years of patiently asking Tatum if she would like to sit on Santa's lap each year, she FINALLY DID IT!!! Nana and I took Tatum and Cooper to Watters Creek in Allen to see Santa. Tatum told me she was going to sit on his lap this year since I told her, 1. she needed to be brave and show Cooper how to do it! And 2. If she wants a flat screen TV for her room, she has to ask him for it herself!! We got there, the little Elf lady came and took Cooper from me, put him on Santa's lap, and Tatum asked me to "carry" her over to him. I told her she needed to walk, as she is clinging to my leg and hiding behind me! Santa made room for her and she hopped up there, the man snapped the picture real quick, and she hopped right down! Santa asked her what she wanted for Christmas, but she was not about to get back up there and tell him. She stood there in front of him and said she didn't know! That's funny, since her list is about 40 items deep! I reminded her she wanted something special for her room. She then remembered and told him a TV. We will see what he brings her in just a few weeks!! I am so proud of her for being brave and sitting up there!! She was pretty proud of herself too!!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! My little puppy and kitty sure were cute!!

WE headed down the Scare on the Square in McKinney the night before or some trick or treating! We had fun with all our friends! (Alexis-not pictured)

Here is my little black cat! She looked so cute! Cutest Black Cat I saw this year!!

Here is my same little black cat, 4 years ago! She was a little smaller then! Still super cute!
Here is my little puppy! I just can't get over it! He was adorable! I was especially proud of my kids costumes because, again, I (with some help) made the costumes. They were really simple but looked like I spent a lot of money on them!!

On Halloween night we headed over to Michele's for some Family Halloween Fun! Mary Poppins showed up!! Actually it was Aunt Sally, but my she looked great!

Daddy even had some fun!! We look forward to more fun Halloweens in the years to come!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We headed out to the Pumpkin Patch this week with my friend Amber and her little girl Emma. I have started watching Emma 2 days a week now. Yesterday was our first day, and man....did I forget what it is like having a mobile baby around the house is like! She was busy, but really good. She was able to show me what I forgot to put up and away in terms of baby proofing! We are really excited that Cooper is going to have a play buddy over every week. She will get him moving in no time. He is so close go learning how to crawl and sit up by himself. Tatum is doing great in school, and as always, is the best big sister we could have asked for!! The Pumpkin Patch was fun. There are several pictures in here that I want to print out and frame! My kids are so cute!

Fall Soccer

Well, Tatum has started soccer this season. After the first 2 games were rained out, we finally go to play today. It was nice and Hot and Humid! UGH...I am so ready for fall temps. The picture above is Tatum in the goal. She loves to play goalie. It makes me so nervous. She did pretty well today considering missing 2 weeks of practice because of the rain. I watch her in warm ups before the game and wish she would put all that effort and skill out on the field. Doesn't always happen that way. She is too busy watching the others to really focus 100%. She needs to get over that! Poor girl, with me and her dad out there yelling at her....she has no hope.

We are looking forward to a fun, successful season with Thunder!!! Cooper went out to support Sister at his first outdoor game! He loves it outside, and will really enjoy getting to hang out on the weekends at her games!

Recent happpenings...

I have been so bad about keeping up with my blog, since Facebook has come into my life. I upload all my pictures on to Facebook, tag them, and write comments about them, so I feel like when I get on here, it is repetitive. But, I will do this anyway. I just realized that I don't have Tatum's 6th Birthday party on here either! Man, I have some things to do!
Tatum started 1st grade this year! She loves it. Her teacher is really sweet, has a 10 week old baby girl. Just a couple of weeks younger than Cooper. Tatum thinks that cool. She is such a big kid on campus. She has a locker and big girl desk, and a HUGE backpack! haha...when I bought it, it didn't seem quite so big!!
We went and ate lunch with her yesterday. We thought we would give her a week to get in the groove, before heading up there and messing up her routine. I have been up there several days already volunteering. I am a co-room mom this year, so I will help out more in the classroom this year, and also in the workroom like last year. Tatum is still getting use to seeing me in the classroom during the day. I tried to tell her to just ignore me when I go in, but that is hard for her. She wants me to see what she is doing, and she wants to see Cooper. We are still working on all that!
My sweet boy is getting too big, too fast. He is loving Tummy Time now, and getting really good at it. He is even rolling from his tummy to his back. Still working on the other way around. But, he will be there soon! I am nervous about him starting to crawl. Tatum has way to many toys, that are choking hazards for him. It will be an adjustment getting her to remember to keep it of the floor, or in her room. Guess that is one door that will have to be closed at all time soon!

We met some friends for dinner the other night. One of which is a Police Officer that Richard works with a lot. Of course, they thought it would be funny to play "Cops" with the kids. Hopefully this is not a look into the future with Tatum and Dylan. lol! I don't think so! Officer Daddy will not allow that!!
Soccer is starting now. We are looking forward to beautiful weather, and some goals from Tatum this season. I can't wait to get her new uniform. I will post pictures soon!!

Golf With Daddy...

Richard and Tatum are now golfing buddies. Tatum got her own set of Golf Clubs when Cooper was born, as a Welcome to Being a New Big Sister....little did we know, she was going to LOVE it, and be really good at it. At least we think she is really good at it for a 6 year old. Richard joined the McKinney Golf Club, so they are able to go often. They love it! Great bonding time....well, I think so at least. She has not come home yet complaining about Richard yelling at her to do it right. I am sure that will come too!

I love to watch her hit with her driver. She hits is high and in the air. I laugh when I hear the "ping" just like the big boys!! On this day, Richard said she also sunk a 12-13 foot putt. He was impressed!

It's been hot, but this day was only about 94 degrees, not too bad considering it has been well about 100 for a few weeks! Needless to say, that had a blast and they BOTH can't wait to get back out there!!

Summer Fun...

We have been doing lots of fun stuff this summer, without even going anywhere yet! Tatum has been such a great big sister! I am so proud of her. She loves to take care of Cooper, and has never once shown any jealously towards him. She loves him so much and I love that! She is always so concerned about what his is doing. One little whimper from him, and she is telling me to get him. She thinks he can't cry for even 1 second!! Too cute!
We have been swimming a lot! Richard loves to throw Tatum around the pool, and she gets a kick out of it! She has really become a fish this summer!

Did I mention Richard has been having a ball too??!!?
4th of July this year was very uneventful! Tatum got sick the day before with high fever and stomach cramping. I ended up having to take her to an After hours doctor on 4th of July evening. Dr. said she had a stomach bug that had been going around. So, our fun day plans to go to the Golf Club, Take a Hot Air balloon ride, swim, and play all the events happening up there did not happen! We did take her out to watch fireworks, but she was falling fast, so we watched then headed straight home. Cooper, slept through the whole thing!!! They looked cute though!!

After Fireworks, Nana and Papaw came back over for a little bit. My dad was holding Cooper and I had to take this picture because he looked so cute!! Just look at those cheeks!!!

More swimming! I must say, we have done a lot of it, but with the temps being over 100 degrees almost everyday...it's the only thing we can do to tolerate it!
This is how Cooper tolerates it. He just looks MAD! But, this is one of my favorite pictures!!!

More to come from Tatum's Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini party!! I can't believe my baby girl is 6!!!

It's been a while...

I know it has been a while since I was able to do a new blog. My computer crashed, it's back now, but I still can't get my pictures to download to my computer off my camera. I need to get this figured out. It's killing me! I have so many pictures of Cooper and Tatum, Tatum's last days of school, swimming fun, and more! Hopefully I will get them on here soon. As for now, I will post some pictures of my kids from off my phone. They are pretty darn cute too!!

We went swimming a few weeks ago, and put Cooper in with Daddy and Tatum. I had to wake him up to do it, and he still wasn't ready to get up. He cried for a minute and then went back to sleep in Daddy's arms in the pool! Silly Boy! He did look SUPER CUTE in his Turtle Swim shorts and swim shirt!!!

This is how he spent most of the 3-4 hours out by the pool. It was NOT 102 degrees yet.

We went to Emma's Birthday party last week. It was lots of fun! It was a Fairy Party, so the girls came dressed up as Fairies. Tatum was so cute. They got their faces painted. Emma and Tatum were cats, but very different cats. Then, those sweet little CAT Fairies, got tattoos. Something about that, didn't make it quite to sweet! Although they did LOVE it!!

Here's my Big Boy! He looks so big in this hat! I can't wait till he is bigger and can really wear baseball caps all the time! LOVE IT!

On June 24th, Cooper smiled a "real" smile for the first time. Later that night, I was trying to get him to do it again for the camera. It wasn't working! Tatum had to get in on the photo action!!But....yesterday, while my mom was loading Cooper in the car, he was smiling away at her in the back seat. I quickly handed her my phone to snap a picture. This is the one she got, and I LOVE IT! Look at those sweet cheeks!

My Bugs...

I have called Tatum "Bug" for a while now, and have now found myself calling Cooper that too! Monday, for Memorial Day, we decided it was so nice out, that we should have a picnic. We went to Heights Park near my parents house and the Arapaho Pool and spent the entire day outside. Tatum was able to go swimming a few different times, hit the golf ball around, and we were all able to eat some great "grilled" food. It was nice to just sit and relax under the nice big shade trees. It was so relaxing, that I didn't even get many pictures! Oh well, this one is funny enough!! We are looking forward to Tatum getting out of school so we can head to the pool this summer and relax some more!!

Wild Flower Festival 2009...

So, we decided to test the waters with Cooper's patience and head out to the Wild Flower Festival this weekend. We went on Sunday, and it was a gorgeous day! Me, Richard, Cooper, Tatum, and my mom headed out. We got there right when they opened, hoping the crowds would not be too big and let Tatum get started in the Kids Area! She had a blast. We convinced her to do the rock climbing wall, she cried the whole time in line, then when it was her turn, climbed almost like she was a pro. She made it half way up the big wall, then her foot slipped, she was still holding on with her hands, but she got nervous and decided she was done. She did great! She got to dig for worms, toss some balls, and make a beaded necklace. She did the Obstacle Course Bounce house several times, then we headed off to grab a bite to eat. "Fair food" is always the best!! We ate, Cooper was patient, then it was his turn. So, I nursed him in a chair under a blanket for the first time, and he did great! He was so good the whole day. He would get a little fussy if we stayed in one place for too long. He wanted the stroller in motion! He was so cute in his little Peace hat and outfit. Everyone around thought he was adorable. Tatum was Miss Accessory yesterday. She was wearing her necklace she made, bought a silver ring with the money Papaw sent with her, and then wanted some new sunglasses. She was really well behaved yesterday! I love it when I have well behaved kids! Wow, that is so weird to say "kids." I have 2 now! Still can't believe it! Cooper got a cute Tye-Dye Beanie that Tatum picked out for him, with his part of Papaw money. Funny, girls always seem to get the majority of the money. It was not split down the middle, but whatever, girls need more right!!?! We walked by a booth and saw Miss Texas. Richard wanted to get Cooper's picture taken with her. She was really sweet and took one with Tatum and Cooper, then when Richard went to take Cooper back from her, she asked if she could keep holding him for a minute. Richard said, "he's already the ladies man!!" It was a fun day out for our first real outing with Cooper. I think he is going to be a trooper like Tatum was at that age. We can drag them around anywhere, and they just adjust!!! What awesome kids I have!!!

Poor Louise...

This is what happens when you have a new baby in the house...The Cat Gets Shaved!!!

Here she is a couple of days ago. Tatum was snapping pictures of her. She was so pretty, but my gosh, the cat hair was driving us crazy. I thought that her shave job would look a little bit better, but what do you expect when you take her to a Country Vet? He got the job done, no frills about it!! We should have done this years ago!!

She looks sick, but all we can do is laugh! Even Tatum laughs about it and I was a little worried about how she would react to her best friend getting tortured. The poor cat won't even sit on her butt unless she is on her bed, or on our bed. What makes her think that she can get on the furniture, now that she has no hair! I guess maybe she is trying to stay warm? Whatever, 3 months of no cat hair...I am one happy momma!!!

Happenings...

Cooper's first bath was short and quick! It was a little chilly for him. I now know to put a hand towel down on the bath seat before getting him wet. That mesh was a little cold. But, when the warm water was squeezed down on him, he sure seemed to like it!!

Whoa, Daddy sure is Brave!! We think Cooper is so small, but he sure looks big in Tatum's arms! I did have to warn her to NEVER do this alone!!! I think she knows!

Sorry about the turned picture. Not sure why it turned like that when I put it on here. But HOW CUTE IS HE???

This was our first trip to the doctor with Cooper. He was only 6 days old. That is exactly how old Tatum was on her first trip to the doctor. He had to go for a weight check and also a jaundice check. All is good, he was down to 7lb. 7oz. when we left the hospital on Friday, and by Monday he was back up to 8lb. 2 oz. Only 1 ounce away from his birth weight. Dr. Katz said that is great, babies are usually not back up to their birth weight till 2 weeks, and he made it back in a week!! My Big Boy!!!

Tatum had a fundraiser at school that was selling Cookie Dough. Yesterday was pick up day for it all, so we had to go out and deliver all the goods. So, off we went to several homes, Cooper and I stayed in the car until we got to Nana and Papaw's. We hung out over there for a while and then went to eat dinner at Spring Creek BBQ. It was Cooper's first dining out at an Eatery! So, we took a picture of course! He was good the whole time till the very end, he wanted to eat. So, when we left, I sat in the front seat of the car in the parking lot and nursed him, enough to get home.

When we got home, Daddy decided to play photo opt, instead of getting Tatum to bed quick. It was already past her bedtime, but how could I get upset, when he got all these cute little pictures of Cooper and Tatum in bed together! Seems like it might be like this in a couple of years! Cooper wanting to sleep with his big sister!! It was so cute to see my babies cuddling together!!! He looked so little up next to her in the big bed!!

Sweet Bedtime Kisses!!!

Cooper Has Arrived!!!

Meet Cooper! He arrived on May 5th, 2009. 5:18pm, 8 pounds 3 ounces, 21 inches. Boy, do we love him! He is just the sweetest little thing around!! It is cute to see Tatum around him. We will need some time getting her completely adjusted, but she will do great! We just got home tonight around 6:30pm. We are all tired, and of course, Cooper's perfect behavior is not the same here at home. All he wants to do is eat!! Silly boy! He will soon adjust too!!!
Love these sweet kisses!!! More pictures to come! Let ME adjust!!!
